    Quill & Crow Publishing

    ~~~*~~~*~~~ Do you have a flair for the macabre in your writing? Do you tend to create characters and scenes that are a bit on the darker side? If so, then you may want to check out the Quill & Crow Publishing House. I’ve been watching this site for a while now. Not because I wasn’t sure about adding it to the site, but because I found myself drawn artistically to it. Most of what I write has a dark tone to it. I prefer to read stories that have a darker tone to them. Not ugly “blood and gore”, but those stories that leave you wondering what the shadow…
    Author Sprint Squad
    ~~~*~~~*~~~ Are you someone who enjoys writing in sprints? Are you in need of a writing buddy? Then check out this brand new writer’s group on Facebook called Authors Sprint Squad aka A$$. I love that name. Okay, so I’ll be honest. I’m not exactly sure how to do a sprint. I get the gist of the idea, but I’m not sure I’d be very good at it. I’m always afraid I’m going to freeze up and at the end, get maybe 50 words down. However, I do know a lot of writers find this to be a great way to get some real writing stuff done in their WIP.…

    Xpresso Book Tours

    I remember back in the early days, there were book carnivals that helped authors promote their works. Today, we have book tours. Admittedly, I wasn’t sure how a book tour worked, until I ran across a site on Twitter called Xpresso Book Tours. It’s a great way for authors to get new releases and/or already released books in front of thousands of readers. Since 2012, Xpresso Book Tours has been helping authors promote their books. They have several thousand social media followers and book bloggers to help spread the word. Their promotion packages run from a single day to a couple of weeks. They even offer cover revels and review…

    Small Press Distribution

    ~~~*~~~*~~~ One of the things I wanted to do with this site, was to help raise awareness of independent writers and publishers. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several highly talented people over the past few years, who have written wonderful pieces and work hard to make their sales. In one of my searches, I came across a distribution center that’s been working with independent publishers for more than 50 years. But what impressed me was that they still worked with, and for, underrepresented artists. Small Press Distribution is the nation’s only non-profit literary distribution center. They work hard to get books published in smaller presses, into the hands of…
    Rebecca Ridge-Erotic Romance Author
    I have a great admiration for anyone who writes erotica. I’ve tried writing erotica, and though I pride myself on NOT being a prude, I still find it very intimidating. But recently I met an amazing writer who has built her career on writing erotic romance and she’s very good at it. Allow me to introduce you to author Rebecca Ridge. Rebecca lives in Yorkshire, England with her family and fur babies. She’s been writing since she was a kid and is a prolific reader, as well. Since December of 2019, she’s uploaded a total of 10 books to her Amazon profile. Many of her books are shorter works, but…
