    I remember back in the early days, there were book carnivals that helped authors promote their works. Today, we have book tours. Admittedly, I wasn’t sure how a book tour worked, until I ran across a site on Twitter called Xpresso Book Tours. It’s a great way for authors to get new releases and/or already released books in front of thousands of readers. Since 2012, Xpresso Book Tours has been helping authors promote their books.     ~~~*~~~*~~~ One of the things I wanted to do with this site, was to help raise awareness of independent writers and publishers. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several highly talented people over the past few years, who have written wonderful pieces and work hard to make their sales. In one of my searches, I came across a distribution center that’s been working with independent publishers for more than 50 years. But what impressed me was that they still worked with, and for, underrepresented artists. Small Press Distribution is the nation’s only non-profit literary distribution center.     I have a great admiration for anyone who writes erotica. I’ve tried writing erotica, and though I pride myself on NOT being a prude, I still find it very intimidating.
